Front-End Developer

Build advanced user interfaces using XHTML, CSS and Javascript from design compositions provided for client sites. Develop interactive user interfaces using Javascript which allow for a more enjoyable and user friendly experience. Work with senior designer and back-end developers to evaluate and recommend user interface ideas and coding practices.

Co-Owner

Manage and oversee all work completed for clients. Provide leadership, design compositions and programming solutions to build sophisticated and easy to use web sites and applications for clients. Evangelize web standards and code optimization to increase speed and ease of use throughout sites and applications built. Other responsibilities include:

• Design user interfaces for client websites and applications using Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator.
• Work in both front-end and back-end programming using XHTML, CSS, Javascript, AJAX, JSON, PHP, MySQL and Flash.
• Create clean and modern identities, branding and print material for clients.

Web Developer

Co-created and developed CARS+; a new course registration system for all faculty in Golisano College of Computing and Information Sciences. CARS+ will shortly be implemented Institute wide and was developed using PHP, AJAX, Javascript, JSON, MySQL, XHTML and CSS. CARS+ directly led to an improved ease of use over the old system and increased time savings.

• Modernized and updated the college website and all department websites in the Golisano College of Computer and Information Sciences using Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator which resulted in a greater look and feel to the web presence. Designs were implemented using XHTML, CSS, Javascript and MAML.

Enhanced the company’s Intranet site using advanced XHTML, CSS and Javascript features. Also enhanced a custom Help desk application in ASP using a Microsoft Access backend. The enhancements to the Intranet site helped restructure and reorganize necessary information into a more user friendly system. Created multiple Batch Scripts which allowed a faster and more efficient workflow for various employees. Other main responsibilities included:

• Updated, implemented and programmed existing databases with Microsoft Access.
• Assisted in managing and maintaining the company’s network and servers.
